The loop «A blow hits the man, the man connects his machine, the machine recomposes the blow» resonates in our imagination since the first listen of Siwomat, as the Berlin duo formed by Pablo Paciuk (Montevideo) and Carles Navarro (Barcelona) officiates a kind of contemporary post-punk that is as multifaceted as it is sharp and intimidating.
With four albums, five EPs, and numerous tours in the Berlin/ Rio de la Plata/ Iberian Peninsula triangle, according to their own words, nowadays communication wise -There is no band, there is no orchestra, only vectors like ‘Resist’, ‘Transgress’, ‘Change’ or ‘Connect’ (…).
Entitled «Mi yegua», Siwomat’s latest studio work has been recorded, mixed and mastered entirely by the Berlin duo themselves. In this fifth studio work, the sharp and intimidating post-punk to which Paciuk and Navarro had accustomed us in their first albums has become multifaceted, resulting in the most playful album of their career.
