Since the beginning of their career in 2009, the verses of Fany Álvarez and José Luís García (Manta Ray, Viva las Vegas) have been unfolding an exciting and highly personal songbook, which is capable of deciphering the beauty of the universal in our everyday life and in whose lines the best European song of the 20th century goes hand in hand with beautifully fragile and unclassifiable slowcore forms. Composing and working always with the humility of those who respect, appreciate and try to understand the history of the land they walk on… both in their discography and on stage, the duo shows an admirable permeability to the proletarian cultural heritage that challenges us -with its monumental historical weight and its influence on the lives of contemporary Asturias-.
