Although there was no formal intention whatsoever and those early get-togethers in Madrid were simply that—meet-ups to play music, spend the day and, incidentally, the night—one thing was clear: the friendship between such seasoned figures on the alternative scene as Amanda Palma (Las odio, Las Janes, Montgomery), David Iñurrieta (Terrier, Fumestones), Lili López (Terrier, Call me idiot), Luis Pimentel (Rocío Saiz, Megarrollo, Caballo Prieto Azabache, Dedo de serpiente) and Nacho Montero (His majesty the king) would eventually blossom into a band. The band is called Tus hijos and here we have their wonderful first song.
Accompanied by a spectacular video (created by an AI drunk on David Prieto himself) «De repente la oscuridad» explores the cycles in which we dwell on the person we imagine ourselves to be… an idea that is portrayed here as a liberating and, at first glance, harmless experience of escape, which we believe we control but which ultimately goes awry, trapping us and bringing us back to square one. Enjoy.
